Spring 2018 JFK Muhlenberg

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, I was just wondering of anyone accepted into the accelerated Spring 2018 program. They received my completed application last week and I was wondering about how long it took to receive a letter of whether or not you were accepted!

Thanks!

Hello all! I have been accepted to the Spring 2018 class about 10 days after I applied. I look forward to meeting everyone! I have a small conundrum and was hoping someone could help me out. Both JFK and UCC received all of my paperwork but I haven't been given a student ID and I still need to take the Principles of Organic Chemistry & Biochemistry! I sent an email to the registrar but haven't heard back and I'm worried I will miss the deadline. Does anyone know when this class begins at UCC and how long registration is open? Any info would be appreciated, thanks :)

Congrats! What track are you accepted to? As far as registration. I would call not email. But you can register now! I called her around 11am she's always answer. We don't get our student ID until our orientation which is in January. Have you taken the math of pharmacology class or are you going to do the challenge exam?

Thanks for responding! I'm doing the accelerated BSN starting in Jan. Who should I call, Cheryl McCoy? And no, I haven't taken Math for Pharmacology either :(.. I applied late and so my acceptance was late and I didn't get a chance to register for that course so I'll be taking the challenge exam (which I haven't yet applied for either). How is the math class going for you? And are you also taking the chem course at UCC?

Okay the pathway to BSN. My friend is in that program. Yes. She does registration and will waive the petition. You can do the challenge exam for the math of pharmacology if you Wang.

WOW this whole time I thought this was a BSN program! I've been referring to it as such to the registrar, admissions, and the director at JFK. I even wrote it in my letter of intent but nobody ever corrected me. I already have a bachelor's in another field so I'm in the accelerated one that is 15 months but I'm not sure I will be going here now. There are accelerated BSN programs that are 12 months long for students that already have a bachelor's degree so this doesn't make much sense for me

Yes! I didn't understand that either. I did the accelerated RN. Because it's very competitive to get in the accelerated BSN program and my gpa wasn't high enough. Whether way you do. You can still go straight to doing your MSN. I have taken all my prerequisites already. So I start my first clinical class in the spring and finish in the fall. I registered for my classes last week. The math of pharmacology class is easy. We have three exams. And it's a hybrid course so we only meet for the exams.

Hey! :) How are you guys? Has anyone else gotten a response for generic track? I finally received my acceptance letter on Monday. I'm excited and I can't wait to start!

Hi,

I recently got admitted to generic track and I previously had bachelors and took higher level math up to calculus 2. Do you by any chance know if that suffice the math pharmacology? and how's the clinical 1? will that be 2 days a week

thanks.

Hi everyone, so I'm doing generic track at ucc. This semester I'm taking psy 204 eng 102 and chem 114. I'm done taking Bio105,eng 101,sociology, psy 101, humanities. After this semester I only need to take bio 106 and micro. So how hard and easy to be in the program in JFK? Do I have to take teas test? Thanks in advance

I am considering going to this school for the generic track, currently I am on a wait list at brookdale community college. Just wanted some feedback about the school and program? Do you guys recommend this program? And what is the minimum to pass a nursing course with jfk?

Thank you

I was accepted here and was planning on going, but then I looked into Chamberlain. Its more money but you also finish with your BSN and they'll take all your transfer courses that match. I currently there and its going to take me 2 years to complete my BSN, and it only takes 3 if you aren't coming in with anything

Hi All,

I've been accepted and submitted my letter of acceptance by the due date July 2nd. Classes start September 8th, and I haven't heard anything back from enrollment. How long does it usually takes? Any feedback on your experience getting a phone calls back, or how informative the staff are. I'm a transfer student and I'm a little afraid that am not choosing the right school to proceeding on becoming a Nurse.
