RCC Nursing Fall 2016 possible applicants

Hello all! Please respond if you are seeking a support group regarding applying in Fall 2016.

Hello, I will be finishing my last pre-req next spring 2016 and would like to apply to RCC for the fall 2016.

Awesome! I should be done and ready to apply by fall 2016 as well. I'm hoping to have between 45-50 points prior to the TEAS. Right now I'm looking into doing a CNA program which will have 5 points included in the points I mentioned above and am currently studying the TEAS. How old are you? (If you don't mind me asking)

Try and get all your pre-reqs done before spring 16 because the fall application for 2016 is during January and you would need to have all your pre-reqs done to be competitive... I think they might even require it

Oops sorry! I meant I should be done by December actually. That's winter right? I have been looking at the other thread you have been on and am so happy you guys got in!! Congratulations! I am really hoping I get in for fall next year. Still need one or both Anatomy's, cna program and at least a 90% I'm teas . Any tips for me now as I am in the pre-steps for applying in Jan?

Thanks

What was the lowest score someone got in with so far?

Aww thank you! You sound like your on the right track! I believe someone has gotten in with 70 points while some with 70 points as well have been put on the alternate list but I heard most people get in still

My advice is just try hard completing whatever classes you have left then in January once you apply you'll have time to study for the TEAS

The TEAS test was pretty hard in my opinion.. You can get the study manual for it to help

Good luck with everything & let me know if you need any help! :)

Thank you! I actually have all my prerequisite a done. It was an equivalency issue that is causing me to retake anatomy and have to apply a year later then intended. So I do not believe it would hurt to start studying the TEAS test every now and then.

I feel like I have a good chance of getting in because I am feeling motivated to pursue it and I know exactly what needs to get done but I've learned to always expect sidetracks. (Like not getting a class etc) when you were applying did you have any back up plans?

Also, what are some productive ways to spend this summer? I was thinking of taking chemistry 2a and/or getting a full-time job (not sure we're yet). Suggestions are welcome!

How long does it take to complete the pre req and does anyone know how long it takes to graduate from rcc nursing

It depends on how long you take individually to finish the prerequisites. The nursing program at RCC is 2 years long.

Hello I was wondering how do you get into a CNA program?
