I believe we should be getting an update regarding our application status soon. Their website says we should be notified 10 weeks from the end of applications so that is around the middle of October.

I noticed the application and deadlines for the RN program are different on PCC's health science website. I called to inquire about this and they told me it was for the next academic year. I hope that is true because I don't want to wait until late January to find out if we get into the program or not lol.

I have 78 points. What about everyone else? Based on the Fall 2017 topic, I think successful applicants are pooled together and selected at random because there were people with 90+ points that ended up being alternates.

The deadline for their RN program was August 1st for the Spring 2018 cohort.

Okay got it! I think there were different deadlines for the RN program and the LVN-RN program.

I think we start spring for the transition course.

It's been over 10 weeks since our deadline and we still haven't heard anything

Hi all! I applied as well and hoping we hear in a few weeks. From last years round of admissions, it looks as if students were notified around mid October as well. When I called to inquire about notifications back in August, the person I spoke to said it would be closer to early November when decisions are made. I Really hope that won't be the case and we will find out sooner.

In a few weeks, I'll def be checking my pcc email more often since I think they will let us know through there rather than traditonal snail mail. Wishing everyone the very best of luck!

We should find out this week if they're true to their 10 week timeline but I doubt it lol

I also applied for spring 2018. I had to call about 50 times and send an email before I got a response saying we should be hearing back in dec. yup. DECEMBER. The woman I spoke with said there were more applicants than usual and they don't want to give us a specific date or week and not be able to follow through.

Wow, December is super late...hopefully they'll let us know before then. I'm hoping for a spot in their program with 78 points! But I was reading the Fall 2017 thread and people with 80-90 points didn't get in...

I feel like many students may commit to other school before December since the process at PCC is taking forever.

I heard that other schools such as Rio Hondo and GCC will make a final decision very soon.

Therefore, if anyone ended up being an alternated, there is very high chance to get in.

If theyre following the same trend as the past couple years, i think we should be hearing back this week or next week! Waiting until Dec is unbearable lol fingers crossed
