Loyola Chicago ABSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys,

I recently just got accepted to Loyolas' Chicagos ABSN program. The on campus (not hybrid option). I saw a few threads about former cohorts for this program, but none for fall 2018. I was just wondering if anyone else has been accepted and what they think of the program. I'd be moving from New Jersey.

Has one visited the campus yet? Any other thoughts, etc

I'm moving from Palm Desert, California! What about you? @jackietran

@iceranic I feel like I've heard of the city before! Ahh, so crazy I just googled it and Palm Desert is about an hour away from my place. I lived in LA for a bit and just moved back home in Moreno Valley!

Hello! I turned in my application a few days ago, and now when I try to log into the application, it tells me my credentials are invalid? Also, when I try to reset my password, it tells me there is no account associated with my email?!

Did this happen to anyone else? My advisor said it looks good on her end, but it is making me nervous.

I will be moving from Las Vegas and am looking for a female roommate! I've been researching the best places to live around campus. Do you know where you would like to live?

Hi guys congrtz to all of you who are accepted. I am in the process of applying. Can you guys please share your gpa's and experiences. Thanks :)

Sup everyone - I applied to the program a little over a week ago (still waiting on one last LOR to complete) but was told by my advisor that there is now a waitlist for the on-site ABSN :( I would still consider the hybrid program (no waitlist there) but definitely bummed to hear that. Thought I should share that info!

@premedtobsn Ahh, I was waitlisted yesterday for that same exact reason :'( Apparently they had a record high number of applicants and didn't anticipate for so many people to apply this cohort. I'm pretty bummed and disappointed for myself and everyone applying now-but I'm very hopeful at the same time!

I'm so bummed to hear about the waitlist. I've already been accepted to Lewis' ABSN program, but really wanted to attend Loyola. I submitted my application last month, but one of my recommenders just got his letter in today. I was so relieved my application was finally in, and not even an hour later the advisor called me to tell me about the waitlist. I'm really upset. Is anyone else considering the hybrid program? I don't know much about it, but don't know if I should consider it or just go for Lewis.

I applied to the Hybrid program because my advisor told me there is big chance of getting in to hybrid than the on campus one. I think Lewis is a great program too. :)

I'm thinking about switching my application over to the Hybrid program. Going to Loyola is more convenient for me compared to Lewis. I emailed my advisor, but haven't heard back yet asking about times of the in person components (clinical, labs, etc). Do you happen to know if they take place during the day similar to the on site program?

So apparently the counselors are not allowed to disclose where you stand on the waitlist. They couldn't provide anymore information than that so it's basically a waiting game for now. Notifications if spots open are rolling but we'll know forsure by the end of April-May.

I think the only difference in the Hybrid program is you take classes online and the labs are on site. As I remember it is on weekdays.
