Los Angeles City College FALL SUMMER 2018 | allnurses

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone! I haven't seen an LACC nursing fall 2018 topic anywhere so let's start one! I've been wanting to talk with other applicants out there that are also waiting to hear from LACC. I'm not quite sure when they will send out confirmation letters so I'm constantly checking my mail. Hehe. Does anyone know? Good luck to us!

I was wondering the same thing! When is the Medical package due?

it is due by august 6

Has anyone turned in the medical package

You will likely have to start the process again. But If you do it now, you should have plenty of time.

August 6th. For sure.

I will be turning mine in tomorrow. Checked it about 100 times to make sure it's correct!

I did all of my physical stuff at the wellness center at LACC.

I turned my package in last week. There was no one in the office, so I dropped it at the Nursing Department mailbox.

Do you guys think they are going to review the package after August 6 and give us a call?

I will be on my vacation and I am a little bit worried about it.(even I am 100% sure everything is correct. haha)

I called the community service office to see if I can pay and register prior to the estimate time we are supposed to.

The lady said it was totally fine. Just a head up, she said the office is on Administration Building room 112.

And we will need to bring in the form with us.

I'm sure you're good! They said they were going over it after Aug. 6th in the packet. It's a bummer there's no one from the department to look it over but oh well! And thanks for the heads up about the orientation classes. I'm going to go and try to sign up today.

On the medical packet (attachment B) it says a 'complete physical examination including lab work is required at a minimum of every two (2)'....every 2 what? Does anyone know? I got the packet TODAY! Don't know the 5 of us who got it today can get this done by August 6th.

A friend of mine is in the same boat. Just do your best. If you start tomorrow, you should be able to get it all done. It took me about a week to complete mine.

Not sure I want to fork out $100+ to 'maybe' get in. And I work a double tomorrow so I don't know how I'd be able to get to my doctor. I have a TB 2-step from about a year ago and blood work from a few months ago. The form can get done but the other stuff takes TIME if I have to repeat it. I'm trying to figure out if I'm able to re-use stuff but that incomplete sentence on the attachment is killin' me. I also don't see why we have to get it done when you guys do. It'll take a bit to process those anyways before they would even consider us.
