At the Open House in October, an admissions officer said that those who applied by the priority of 11/1 could hear something in early January. Anyone know how long those accepted have to make a deposit?

On their website it says that we should hear by the end of December!! Did they change that?

When I talked to Admissions, they told me we should be hearing responses before the first of the new year if we applied before the November priority deadline.

I didn't get a card :( lol

I wonder if that means anything. Also, did anyone hear back from admissions with their result?!

Not me, and no email reply either. I'm hesitant to send them another email, but I may if I don't hear back by Thursday.

Hi all! I didn't apply by the November 1st deadline, but I did email them a few days ago asking if they had received all my application materials/when I should expect to hear back. They told me that they're for sure releasing decisions for people who applied by November 1st by the end of December, and from there it sounds like everyone else (aka people who didn't apply before November 1st) will likely hear on a rolling basis. That was just my impression, I could be wrong about the rolling basis part. Nonetheless, everyone else should for sure hear any time now!

Thanks for this update!! I really think it has to be this week by Friday. I do not think they are open on Christmas day but I don't know, they might be. I guess we could get some feedback by the end of next week as well! This waiting is stressing me out, but it is all worth it!

Omigosh, by the end of this week or next? It would be great to get good news in time for the Christmas holiday, but of course it would stink if the news is bad. I don't see any information about notifications on the JHU SoN website: Where is it? I am just curious. Thanks, all, and good luck!

I think they will notify us via email or snail mail. I don't think there is a portal where we can check the status of our application. The admissions link On their website has the info about when decisions will be released To us.

Thanks, franklin_washington. I cannot find that link on the SoN webpage, but I will take your word for it. I had emailed admissions in early December to ask if early January was when they expected to inform the priority deadline-meeters (as they said at the Open House), and I was told that that was still the goal. But this week or next would be even better. I just wish I had an idea of how long we have to make a deposit.

Ah, I see it now. I didn't realize that it said "late December" right there in the chart that shows admissions deadlines. Anyone hear anything yet? Nothing on this end. So nervous!
