Grayson College ADN Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

I was wondering if anyone was applying for Grayson Fall 2017 ADN program? I know we still have time, but wanted to see if anyone on here was applying! Taking my Hesi Saturday!

Hello!! I didn't think the HESI was too hard. Alot of it I felt like was pretty straight forward. I did buy the study guide, so that was a good refresher.

Hello! I am also applying for the Fall 2017 program! I took my HESI in December and have 27 points. Good luck to us all!!

That's awesome! I'm hoping for 24, I need to get an A in a&p2. Wish I lived in the area for the extra 2 points :/

Thank you! It definitely helps living locally! I lost a point on the HESI :( I saw you took A&P 2 in the Summer, I did too, I was SURE that I was crazy but made it through!! My professor was terrible too so that didn't help! I had some friends start this Fall and they said they went as low as 22 last semester so I think your chances are pretty decent with 24!! I hope we get in! My best friend is applying with me, we met in A&P 1 last Spring, she has 25 points. I just need to finish my shots that I started in November! So much to do!! My goal is to turn in my application the week school starts back up! I'm worried about it all having to be uploaded digitally. I have a computer scanner but I've never used it except to make copies so this should be fun!! When are you turning yours in?

I'm all nervous now that it's getting closer! Yes taking it as a summer class was awful! I'm hoping they will take 24! I took my HESI in December, so glad that is over with. I submitted my application last month. I just have to submit my transcript again after I retake A&P 2 this semester. Shots I'm good, just have to take my last hep a shot in June. Otherwise I'm good to go! Is Grayson the only place you are applying? I was going to apply to El Centro, but they require shots completed when the application was sent. Hep A shot held me back.

Well, I was going to apply at Collin because they have a Summer admittance program that finishes in a year and half instead of two years but when I went up there to register for the PSB they said all dates were full and I'd have to wait to see if the added test dates and I just can't be waiting by the phone everyday for a phone call to see if I can take a test to have a chance of acceptance. Other than that, I believe my chances would be pretty decent there. When I started this journey of trying to become a nurse, I live in Sherman so I had planned on going to Grayson college anyways so I wasn't that disappointed. I've done all my prerequisites here so I'm familiar with campus which is comforting. I'm taking a full load this semester and all the classes will go towards my bachelors for the TWU ADN to BSN program.

Hey everyone! I am applying to the Nursing program at Grayson for the Fall 2017 admission as well! I am applying with 27 points. Hopefully that is enough to get in. I am so excited, anxious, and nervous!!

This is so exciting princesshess! I just submitted my application via email! Eeeek! I met with Lori last week for the first time to ask last minute questions and she asked me how many points I was applying with, I told her 27 and she said I should feel pretty confident to be accepted! Hope that helps you ease a little!

27 the maximum for the points right??? Then yall should be good! I wish I had that many! I automatically lose 2 for not being in the area.

Chrissyb513, 28 is the max but yes I am happy I live in the area for sure!! She said usually down to 24 can feel confident and 23-21 are usually waitlist. She did mention they have alot more applicants in the Fall instead of the Spring so we have to take that into consideration as well! She was super nice!!!!

That's good to know! I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get in the Fall. It was the only place I could apply this year due to my immunizations. Ready to get going!,

Eeeek! I'm so anxious to see! We are supposed to hear back in 3 weeks or so from the deadline, right?
