Hi all,

I have applied for fall 2017 program at El Camino College. I actually applied for Spring 2017, I was selected as an alternate and did not make it. Hopefully, I can get in this time. Anyone else have applied? It would be great if we could share some information and feelings while we are waiting for the result!

So, you guys did not receive anything? Neither Did I. What's going on? Does that mean we did not get accepted?

I am hoping that just means that April 28th was just another invite to TEAS.

Well it's now the 29th and nothing from elco. They should've notified us that we are not being considered, but they haven't.

I agreed, Dream2bnRN. I think they are disorganized and unprofessional. Disappointed. :(

Anyone received any notification from El Camino? I still don't receive anything. Is that all? They just don't send anything for the person who was not accepted? I am thinking of asking them...but then, I know the lady at desk will not be happy about it.

I still haven't heard anything... I am confused to why I have not heard from them?! I applied last semester and they contacted me right away to take my TEAS exam (which I denied bc I wanted to wait another semester), however this time around the only thing I have heard from them is the first email they sent to everyone. I even had more points this time I applied bc I now have an AA degree posted on my transcript. It makes me think that they are just extremely unorganized!

Hi jcelly. I am still waiting to hear from them, too. I also applied last semester, and I remembered that they sent TEAS invitation right after a week application period was closed. After TEAS, I think it took 2 weeks to get the final decision. I was an alternate and invited to attend their mandatory orientation. The day before the orientation, they called me that was mistake and told me to not attend an orientation. I don't know how long we are supposed to wait to hear our status.

Even worst is the attitude we get if we try to find out what's going on. í ¾í´¦*♀️

I just called El Camino nursing Dept and the lady said that they are not yet finished picking students for the second teas invite. She said that the director handles it and she's half way through. I didn't want to irritate her so I didn't ask anymore questions. To sum it all up,it appears that they are not quite done and we should expect an email in the near future. Exactly when? Who knows?
