Hello beautiful people!
Im looking for a school that has a good rep, accredited for RN-BSN online. I was wondering if anyone out there is going for their RN-BSN online at San Marcos. I understand that this is 100% online no traditional clinical or campus lab. I want to know more about this school as Im leaning towards CSU since its affordable.
hope to hear from you guys!
thanks a lot!

I'm looking into it right now as well, did you decide to attend?

I'm leaning toward this one as well. I had been looking at Western Governors, but their unusual grading system might be a problem for continuing on in some grad programs later. I would love to read about anyone's recent personal experience with this program as well.

Hello,
I am almost done with CSUSM it is affordable, but a bit unorganized. I thought it was 100% online but you do have a leadership course that you have to volunteer 40 hours in 8 week period with a nurse manager. They did not provide a site you have to locate your own site which was difficult because most places required a contract with the school. My place of employment helped me establish a contract but it took 6 weeks so I had 2 weeks to complete the 40 hours.
For the community course you have to do 4 community teaching project were you once again have to find your own community base site to teach 4 different topics in 8 weeks.
The workload is heavy, lots of reading, posting discussions, quizzes, and group work. There is a lot of outside website utilization which made it more time consuming.
Grading was fair but it was definitely difficult to work full time, have a family and take this online program. At this time I am unsure if I would recommend this program. I am just very happy to be do with it soon.
