Does anyone know or have an idea of what the lowest possible points to be admitted to Spring 2019 could be? The average score last cohort was around 30points.

Hi there! Have you received your evaluation sheet as of yet?

@SD123CA It all depends on the applicant pool, but in the info session she made it sound like they only expect it to get more competitive for spring. The evaluation sheets should be out by the end of August, hopefully!

Spring is the most competitive semester because it is the only semester at the San Marcos campus and some people hold out to apply specifically for that campus. Look at the average accepted rate for spring on the website for comparison. Know that it's the average, so there were scores both above and below it.

Does anybody here have information about the intensity of this program, how the schedule is like and where the clinical sites are at? I know the first semester will have 2-3 classes, so probably 2-3 days a week. But how about the following semesters, are the clinicals 8 hr or 12 hr shifts? Any info will help, thank you!

It's an accelerated program, it's intense. Your first semester schedule depends on what semester you start in, but you can expect to be on campus about two days a week for 4-8 hours each day. The remaining semesters also depend on the particular semester and the courses being taken, but will range from 3-4 days per week where you will either be on campus, in the lab, or at a clinical site, and they can range from 8-12 hour days (semester dependent). Most semesters are three days per week but summer semesters can be four days per week. Clinical sites range anywhere between San Diego and Riverside and you do not get any preference as to where you go, it's all assigned by the School of Nursing.

@eastlakenurse I would keep an eye and follow-up with them in regards to needing your AP scores. My application got delayed because they needed this, but I didn't know until well into the second acceptances.

Been following this thread and CSUSM ABSN Fall 2018 for a while now, but seeing as I have a chance to get into Spring 2019--I'm a bit anxious and excited.

TL;DR - applied for Fall 2018, one of my transcripts got "lost", official AP scores needed to be sent, got my eval pts right before third wave of acceptances...

    Good luck to everyone!!

I called early last week and they said they would be sending out the first wave of admissions decisions the second or third week of September. I haven't received my evaluation form yet, but hopefully it's coming soon!
