Admitted Burlington County College for Spring 2014

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for people who are going to starting the program on the spring. I also have some question for yas

  • are you buying some of the supplies from the bookstore or a place like work 'n gear?
  • where are you getting the books?
  • have you signed up for the cpr or nurs 103?
  • what nurs 119 did you register for?

I'm so a little nervous to start the program but even more excited, see you guys soon!

The lab kit comes in a big black bag with an over the shoulder handle, I assume this is the black bag theyre talking about? I have to get the shoes, some of them are so ugly and expensive I'll get them eventually lol. I wanted to do my CPR certification earlier than january but BCC's is the cheapest so I figure I might as well. My physical is scheduled for the 6th I believe.

I went to get my name tags and they put my first name as my last name and my last as my first name, ugh. So now I have to wait for them to be fixed. The guy at the bookstore tried to blame me for it when I wasn't the one who wrote it down the girl at the register did. It suprised me too because I was nice about it this is why you do these things in advance incase something happens. :sour:

Man, that sucks!! Well, at least it can be fixed! :) I have a question for you, did you wait until you got your packet in the mail to sign up for your nursing classes? Or did you just take the acceptance letter with you to registration? Btw, my husband is AF too :)

Does anyone know if acceptance letters are still going out?

you can register at either mt laurel or pemberton if you just bring your acceptance letter with you!

Does anyone know if the books are available yet? And for anyone taking NUR 103, have you gotten those books yet?

I just got a letter from BCC with clinical location information and a January calendar with open lab schedule? I'm not sure what the calendar part is all about, if you guys know or got this too please shed some light lol I plan on getting my books soon but dont know if theyre available yet.

When I went to the bookstore two weeks ago to order my name tag I asked about the books and the guy said they would be available towards the end of December. If you log on to webadviser you will see a list of books needed for our class. If that is the correct list, I believe the books(NEW) were somewhere in the $600 price range.

I got this letter as well. I guess its just an update on where our clinical sites are. It doesn't really give too much information.

Open labs are just times you can go to the lab to practice your skills. The handbook said we should plan to do a minimum of an hour a week in open lab.

Hey everyone! I was wait listed and recently got accepted into the program! Im so excited and so nervous at the same time. I registered for 119-405 and for the medication administration class im in 103-900. I got the med book online for 35 dollars brand new which i thought was a really good deal. Im going to buy my 119 books at the bcc book store.

Hey @camarogirl1124, Congrats! I was about to get the text book for Nur 103 (I'm in 103-901) but the link through web advisor doesnt work. What book did you get and through what? I usually use amazon or BCC.

Congrats camarogirl1124!!
