I think that this is the third attempt at starting a UPenn 2019 thread.

I'm surprised that there isn't one yet given how much activity the UPenn 2018 thread had at this point last year.

I was surprised also so I started the thread. Did you apply?

I did.

I haven't heard anything back from them since the email confirming that they'd received my application.

I think that we'll hear about invitations sometime in November.

Hi all, good to finally see a board for this year! I also applied for next year's cycle in midwifery/women's health. Does anyone know a timeline for interviews?

Thanks for starting this thread. Did you guys see the email that just went out about interviews? Looks like PMHNP and FNP folks will have to wait for a direct invite from faculty. I'm applying for the PMHNP track, based on work and life experiences.

It says FNP and Psych will do video interviews first before the faculty invites.

Hi,

Would someone mind copy/pasting the email? For some reason, I didn't receive it. Is anyone else in the same boat? Seems odd because my application was complete in August.

Dear Penn Nursing Applicant:

Thank you for your application to the Accelerated Nursing Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. We look forward to working with you over the next few months as you go through the admissions process. This email includes information on the admissions timeline, application status, and the interview process.

Admissions Timeline:

October 15, 2018: The application deadline for entry in June 2019

December 2018 & January 2019: MSN and PhD interviews for the BSN/MSN or DNP & BSN-PhD applicants

November 12, 2018 to January 31, 2019 - BSN Interviews for the BSN Second Degree applicants

December 31, 2018: Financial aid application deadline (Additional information will be emailed next week)

Early February 2019: Admissions Decisions Notification available online

Application Status:

The application checklist is updated on a daily basis but the processing of transcripts and GRE scores may take up to 2-3 weeks to complete. Please wait until November 15th to see if all application materials have been received. If the checklist states something is missing at that time, feel free to contact us. Please note it does not affect your application if materials are missing as we attempt to give as much notice as possible to submit any missing items.

Please do not contact us at this time, to determine if your application is complete, as we are unable to confirm if all materials have been received.

Interviews for BSN/MSN or DNP & the Hillman BSN-PhD applicants:

BSN/MSN or DNP (excludes the Family Nurse Practitioner & Psychiatric NP Specialty) and BSN-PhD applicants will be invited to interview by the faculty and the interviews may be held in person or via phone. The interview dates for the BSN/MSN or DNP & the Hillman BSN-PhD programs are posted below.

An email regarding the invitation to interview will be forwarded after November 12, 2018. If a BSN/MSN or DNP or BSN-PhD applicant is not invited to interview for the MSN, DNP or PhD, the applicant will be considered for the BSN Second Degree program.

Please note you do not have to attend the interview in person, scheduling a phone interview will not affect your application. We have applicants from across the county and internationally and understand it may be difficult to visit campus.

Applicants to the BSN/MSN Family NP or Psychiatric Mental Health NP program will initially be invited to complete a video interview prior to the faculty interview invites. Additional information on the interview process will be sent out early next week.

Interview Dates for the BSN/MSN & the Hillman BSN-PhD applicants: (please note dates are subject to change and will be confirmed the week of November 12th)

Friday, December 7, 2018: Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology Primary Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Anesthesia, Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and the Hillman BSN-PhD Program

Friday, December 14, 2018: Nurse-Midwifery, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Women's Health/Gender Related Nurse Practitioner Programs

The Nursing and Health Care Administration Program and the Nursing Leadership Program- Interview Date to be Determined

Interviews for the BSN Second Degree Applicants:

BSN Second Degree applicants (and applicants not invited to interview for the MSN and PhD) will also be invited to interview. Applicants will be contacted between November 12, 2018 and January 31, 2019 to schedule an interview (if invited). Please note due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to offer an in person interview. The interviews will be approximately 30 minutes and held with an Associate Director within the admissions office at the School of Nursing. The interview is a great opportunity to learn more about the program, answer any questions you may have regarding the prerequisite courses, length of program, academic opportunities, student life and more.

Thank you so much! I need to be sure to get on this email list... not sure what's up with that but I appreciate you keeping me in the loop!
