I am currently in my last quarter of school to get my LVN and once i graduate from there I want to continue on and get my RN. However I have a very busy schedule and do not have a whole lot of time to sit in a class room for another year plus and want to get my RN through an online degree I have found.
My question is, is it a good idea or bad idea? Do employers frown upon a degree obtained online even though I will be getting all of my clincal hours in an actual clinical environment with an RN to sign off on my skills? The school I have found is accredited and approved with the BON I am just afraid of getting looked down on because I did my theory all online. I am a single mother and I can not afford to miss out on any more of my son's life and we are struggling as it is on the little income I make now working part time. I want to know what my options are as far as getting an online degree it would help me out tremendously but I do not want it to affect me in the long run. If there are any employers out there that do the hiring can you please help me out with this.
Thank You for your time
