Hello all,
I really want to begin a nursing career and I believe an online lvn program will suit me best right now. I live in san Jose and have healed and unitek close by, but both have been ripped on yelp. Does anyone have a good tip for getting to lvn either online or from a local school that doesn't have a wait or lottery? Seems Ike the options are liited in my area.
Thanks so much for the time and info.

I'm afraid your options are limited to going to one of the private schools like Unitek as you mentioned or going to one of the community colleges and trying to get into their LVN program through the lottery because there is no way to became an LVN/LPN online. There are no online programs to become an LVN/LPN online, only programs to become an RN or BSN after you are already a licensed LVN. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if you really want to become an LVN I'm sure you'll find a way to do it with a program that works best for you. Good luck!:)

Since California requires that all LVN programs in the state provide 954 clinical hours of hands-on patient care, there's no way you'll be able to find a completely online program. You will have to attend plenty of clinical shifts that are concurrent with classroom theory before California will even grant nursing licensure to you.
