Hey everyone I am preparing to apply for new grad positions, but I'm a little nervous. I have applied for nursing aid positions at local hospitals almost monthly for the past year and half, but I feel like my applications are overlooked. I know many hospitals use an AT (applicant tracking) system. Is their a way to make my application and resume stand out ?
Also ... I never know what to put for the question regarding "starting salary" or expected starting salary for this position . How do you all answer that question ?
Thank you for your help in advance !

The way to get the AT to "see" your resume is to mimic the verbage in the job posting. You will need to customize your resume for each position you are applying for, pick out the key words or phrases from the job ad and work those into your phrasing on your resume.

Pay attention to the bottom of the ad or listing where many times there will be a list of key words.
Thank you @Notdoneyet, MSN RN and @caliotter3 for your responses. Does length matter for job responsibilities/ duties or should I keep it short and sweet ?
