one more week to go until NCLEX

Hi guys. I have been a follower of the NCLEX board for quite some time. I love the feedback I get when I come here. Everyone is so supportive and it is just great to know that the feeling I feel about taking the NCLEX is shared with you all.

I graduated nursing school in December. I took a vacation and a break from studying. I have been studying for NCLEX since the second week of Janauary. I make the effort to study everyday. I started off with Kaplan classroom and online. I watch all the videos, attended all the classroom session, did almost all of the qbank and have questions trainers 6 and 7 still to do. I am doing ok (my scores are scatterd all over). I have also been using Hogan and Saunders as supplement since I am not very fond of the Kaplan book. I have been doing approximately 50, 100 questions a day with this week doing 200 questions a day. I am doing ok so far in my test taking. I notice though that sometimes when it comes to two questions, I end up picking the wrong one, WHY!

I originally changed my exam date from February 25 to March 12 because my husband was deploying. I am glad I did, because I felt like I was not going to be ready for it then. Now I have one more week until I take my NCLEX. I am super nervous still, but I feel like I want to just take the exam and get it out of the way. I feel like I want to change my exam day again too, so I dont know what to do. Any suggestions on what I should in the next week.

Depends on when your ATT expires, if it expires soon I would just go ahead and take it. Many will feel not ready but keep delaying the exam can make matter worse. Keep practising questions and make sure you understand the question. I found in most cases I could do away with 2 of the answers easy then I would concentrate on the 2 remaining looking again at the question and using the skills to choose the right one. Also read the rationales even when right. Right will reinforce your thoughts where as wrong will point you in the right direction

thanks guys. ive decided that i can do it. ive been studying with kaplan hogan and saunders i review and do my questions. i think i should be ready. i just have a lot of anxiety. wish me luck.
