I have peds and nursing leadership and management. How about you, can you believe we are this close! I want to get started right away, but we are off till the end of January, yikes then the NCLEX I am so pysched, can't wait to start my new life, how about having a life again, I have to catch up with all those phone calls I didn't return, and of course clean my house (what a mess)

Just finished my 2nd semester. We'll be starting our 3rd semester on January 12th. I'm ready to start back, but I want to enjoy my time off over the holidays first. Congrats on your accomplishments thus far.

I also just finished third, and I am so excited to see light at the end of the tunnel.

I am looking forward to doing some MAJOR cleaning of my house over the break, its long past due :D

Congrats!!! I just finished my third semester too and I am sooooo happy to have a few weeks off to rest. But I am soooooooooooooo nervous about next semester!

We can do this..................we can do this...........................we can do this!!! :wink2:

I'm in the same boat. This was the roughest semester for me where I honestly thought I was done after walking out of the final. Granted I always worry (typical nursing student style). OB was not my thing so the first half of the semester started off rocky, peds was much better, the final was the toughest test I've taken in my 3 semesters. But! One more to go! May 09 here I come. Going to enjoy this break to its fullest, its my last one as a student working in retail!

Hats off to us for just about making it over the mountain that is nursing school!

I agree I'm finishing up my third semester (final on monday) and I have been experiencing similar feelings to your.I learned more things I believe in this semester than in any previous ones and it has been challenging.I felt more autonomy and then again more responsibility.I finally gave IV push twice,I hang piggyback antibiotic,I diluted powder med, gave couple of anticoagulant meds, had extremely hard patient who was on the ventilator, was on isolation, had a PEG tube and than some.I learned a lot however it was extremely stresful yet I'm grateful I got a chance to be exposed to these nursing skills.I wish I also had the opportunity to do dressing change (I did once in previous semesters),give meds through NG tube (never did that),start the IV (although we cant do it).

I cant wait for a break though!!!

God bless.

You have spoken directly from MY heart. Reading your post, I thought "Hmm, did I type that and not remember?"

Well it looks like we were all in the same boat, and at times it was the Titanic, but we made it, lets enjoy our holiday, clean our houses, do laundry, reconnect with family and friends, review our fundamentals, meds, vents, iv's etc and get ready for the final push. Happy Holidays to all my fellow travelers on this crazy, stressful journey called nursing school
