30% is low, but focus on the areas of your weakness. I took my diagnostic last month, got a 54%. When I got my result, I was weak in management of care, got a 36%. I went home what weekend and kept doing questions and went over the contents. I went from 36% to 86% in just a few days. I ended up getting a 64% on the readiness test. Just hand in there, do not get discourage. Although 30% is low, but just remember, it is not the real test.

be positive ..dream1987.. diagnostic test just to see what area you're weak on.. just study, do questions.. don't get discourage... readiness test is more important than diagnostic test though...

As FutureNurse35 said, you can really raise your scores quickly by reviewing. I was weak in 'Management of Care' and now it's very good. Start on your weak areas first.
Best of luck.
FutureNurse35, when are you taking your nclex and your scores for the qbank and kaplan question trainer?

i only got 40% on the diagnostic. i started 30 minutes late and took about 90 seconds on each question (or more)... which made me miss almost 50 questions on the test. i didn't have a choice but to shade all the others without looking into it. i felt so bad so i started working on my test taking skills. one week later, i scored 60% on the readiness test. i haven't taken the exam yet but don't lose hope. on my opinion, kaplan can help you in just a few days of reviewing with them.. just focus and practice questions everyday. that's what i'm currently doing.. and also watching their vids and reading the book at the same time. also, i keep a list of my weakness whenever i finish an exam (qbank or the qtrainer, for example).
do you already have schedule? and i hope you don't mind, but where are you from? i'm an international student myself:)

The purpose of the diagnostic exam is to show you where your weaknesses are, not to make you feel depressed. Take the information and put it do good use in developing a study plan for yourself. With good, hard work, you will be able to pass the real exam.
i am graduated from INDIA...i am not scheduled yet..but yeah i am planning to do that..may be in early august.....hope i will get over it...
I am planning to take Qbank #6 sometimes this week. I am averaging 66% on the Qbank and the trainer:#1-99%, #2-72%, #3-62%, #4-66% and # 5-61%. I hope to do better on 6.
I am not too worry about the scores, because sometimes when I take the tests, I am tired because I work fulltime. I find out, I do better on weekends, when I am not too tired. That is why, I planned my test in the morning and not have to work that day. I think for me, the time of the day is important if I want to pass the boards.
wow 99% on QT trainer 1?
Trainer 1 is the easiest, mostly knowledge based. As you can see my scores did not stay that high. My focus is to get higher on the analysis and the application questions.
