Relocating to Lawton

U.S.A. Oklahoma

Published

Hi! Im excited to say I will be relocating to Lawton soon, and I was wondering if anyone can tell me some apartments that are safe, nice, etc. I really liked St. James apartments, however they dont have any apartments available

I don't live in an apartment, but I think Willowpark is nice off 67th street. Summit Ridge 67th/Gore. Then the ones off 82nd are new apartments, I don't know how much they charge, but it is a brand new neighboorhood over there and quite nice (St.James, Winchester). I know you mentioned St. James doesn't have anything available right now.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with the East Side.

you could also check out the timbers and crosby park apartments. They are both closer, with timbers being within walking distance.

I got your message, but i couldn't reply back for some reason. Starting pay for new grads in lawton is around 18.50ish. You can live really good in southwest oklahoma for that amount of money.

Thank you!

Anyhow welcome to Lawton (soon) and I hope you will find a nice apartment soon!

Hello SDA3694! I am interested in relocating to Lawton, OK. How has it been since you've moved? Where did you move from? I'm from South Carolina. What can u tell me about the area? What hospital are you working? Did you find the pay ok relative to the cost of living in the area? I would appreciate any feedback.

unfortunately lawton doesn't have a ton of choices for places to work for nurses..... but at least the pay is okay for Lawton. Stay away from the southeast side... close to downtown/lee blvd/ft.sill blvd - if you're new here I would try the east side or west side. If you can't get on at CCMH or SWMC, there are a couple dialysis places that may train new grads, quite a few nursing homes, taliaferro psych hospital (small), some private clinics and urgent cares, and I heard there is a new retirement/nursing home being built out west that they are hiring for right now. The third hospital is a military hospital on fort sill, but they are federal jobs which require at least 1 year experience before applying.... but that is a great option if you want to apply later!

Hope any of that helps.

Good luck to you and welcome to Lawton!

Thanks so much. Everthing about Lawton seems like something I would be interested in. Working on OK endorsment now.:)
