I am about to turn in my application now. I just found out yesterday that my ACT scores were just barely too old to be used for preference points otherwise I would have had a total of 16. So I had to scrounge and try to study as much as possible last night and take the accuplacer tests this morning to try to make up the points. I got a good enough score on the writing but I was one question away on the Math. So I'm now having to apply with 14 points instead of 16 which really upsets me. My gpa isn't that great it's a 2.9 so I don't know I guess we will find out in a few weeks.

DID You get in with 14 points?

I want to apply to OCCC for the fall, I know that application is due pretty soon. I am so nervous, how many points did you all get in with?

Every semester is different, but I was told that the norm is usually around 14 points. I just turned mine in last Friday with 17 points and a 3.889 GPA. I hate that we have to wait 8 long nerve wrecking weeks!

I heard that this evening program has an all day lab during the week. Have any of you heard that? I was under the impression that I would be able to keep my full-time, Monday through Friday, 8-4:30pm job as long as I secured evening/weekend clinicals.
Hi! I'm applying for the Fall 2017. How did the labs work out for you guys this past semester? What was the schedule like? I'm freaking out because I had no idea it would be a full day of labs on top of class!

A friend of mine is on her last semester of the program and she said there will be 2 days of lecture from 9-12pm and then a lab day from like 8-5pm and then a clinical day that is around 12 hours

Oh great ... I already got approved from work to take the class, they'll never let me take a whole day a week on top of that. Why aren't they up front about this when you apply? I would never have known if it weren't for this thread. Is there a weekend option for the labs?

It would be 2 full days. Lab for one day and clinicals for the 2nd day. Sometimes u can do clinicals on the weekends, but it depends on what clinicals we are doing. And lab has to be done during the week.

Hey there!

when are the applications due? I have been looking in different areas and don't seem to have found anything at the moment. I really want to apply for the spring semester.

I also found out that we will be doing lab or clinicals, not both. Some weeks we will do both in the beginning but it will usually only be 1 or the other.

Awesome!! Thank you for the information
