U.S.A. Oklahoma

Does anyone know about platt college. Does this school get you a chance to have a better career and better salary? Because my friend told me she went there and graduated from medical assistant paying $8 dollars an hourly pay. She said she was rip off. But she told me about another school OSU-OKC (Oklahoma State University - Oklahoma City) that has free tutors, hands-on job, & better opportunities. She told me osu-okc was the best school in oklahoma that has certificate, associates, & bachelors programs that will give college credit to transfer to any school. However Platt College does not offer those except certificates programs and it does not get you college credit. I need you guys to give me advice about the 2 schools that i need to go because my parents told me you should go to Platt College because I'm 1 mile away from home and OSU is 18 miles away. Please if someone knows about this schools. Pleassse let me know.

Hello!

Congrats on your LPN. I'm wanting to get my LPN at platt college. Do you need to have your basics or do they give you a placement test? Just wanting some more information on the program if you could help!

Thank you!

You do not need to have completed the 'basics' prior to enrolling since these courses are incorporated into the program for those who didn't complete any prerequisites.

There's an entrance exam. However, I'd select a more affordable option. The LPN pay rates in Oklahoma are too low to justify $30,000 in tuition and fees for this program.

I start class November 7 and graduate the following December does that mean I will be out for summer or is it the whole year nonstop

let me say, I went to Brown mackie after going to Connors state a few years ago. BAD experience at Brown, as we all heard they are closing. after a year I am at Platt. I have worked with Rn's who went to platt and took the bridge at various colleges, rogers state, etc and did fine. we started with 30 people. after my exp with brown i did my homework. called board of nursing, dept of education and did research. I went with brown because of no waiting list. I was able to transfer some credits in even. Cost is high but a month in and i have a standing job offer for $20 hour when i graduate. there are tons of bad reviews, but that is people's opinion. short into it we had 4 people flunk out. either do to attendance or bad habits. go, commit, and it will be fine. their last class was at 100% pass rate. they are strict but so structured. i love it! I plan to bridge to RN after and have heard nothing but good things about them from nurses i work with!
