Ok need some advice on Pregnancy!

i have a friend who's daughter is one month over due yes that is what you read.

apparently it was discovered after she had conceived that she has a leaking heart valve (don't know which).

she has dilated to 4cms. 'plug' came away several weeks ago and she has been slowly oozing amniotic fluid.

now i am no ob nurse but i thought the longer you 'leaked' the higher the risk.

they say they won't do a c-section due to the heart valve, infection risk, but don't they do prophylactic ab's?

my girlfriend is beside herself with worry. they won't induce this girl. i wondered why they couldn't even use the cream that goes around the cervix!

does anyone have any suggestions or something i can inform her about where to go from here.

this girl looks just awful with huge dark rings under her eyes.

i think this whole picture stinks and smacks of poor care!!

this girl should be getting better care and help than she is. :(

i know very little about OB but if I were this girl's family I would be dragging her to see a different doc : (

i'm only going to tell you what anyone else here will... we cannot give medical advice. your friend should talk with her OB about her concerns. if she is unsatisfied with her care she should seek a second opinion.
