Cincinnati here! I work in a small hospital on the orthopedic floor. Sports medicine, joint replacement. Love my job! Oh, I am an LPN for some 30 years.

are you in cincinnati? I am:)
East Liverpool, it is not too far (about an hour) from Youngstown. If you were to look on a map, it's where WV, PA, and OH meet at the tip of WV
Nope, I'm in Dayton.

Chiming in from Cincinnati. I'm currently an LPN student trying desperately to find the best school (that doesn't require me to jump through 50-11 hoops) for my LPN to RN education. I want to do L&D, mother/baby, NICU....anything and everything in that vein...I wanna learn it all! Gotta finish my education first, though!
when you find that school would you please let me know

Hey, I work in Akron, but went to school at Kent.
My specialty is pediatrics, now thinking I'd like to try my hand at PICU.
I'm from Cleveland, but moved to Akron a few years ago. I'm just starting out in nursing school (degree switch) but am pretty sure I want to go into Psych. We'll see... :)
I know right where you are...went to nursing school on the gigantic Kent campus down there! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Do you work at city hospital or in LTC?

I understand some of what you guys are going through since I had problems going from an AA to a BSN. Although I wouldn't trade the experiences I've had, I can look back and honestly advise others just starting out in nursing that if they can swing it financially they need to go for the highest degree they are looking for right at the very beginning of their education. Wouldn't some of you agree with this?
