My I-140 (Schedule A) was also transferred from CSC to TSC on Mar 22nd. I had a receipt date of July 7th '05 in CSC. I received an email from USCIS. Has anyone been issued a new receipt date?? I wonder will they treat the transferred applications as PRIORITY as we have been held up by the CSC for so long with no explanation.
Yes, they will still process cases according to PRIORITY dates. So, I presume your case will be approved very soon.
Well... My receipt dates are March 31, 2005 and December 21 , 2005... I first applied for green card in March last year, and something wrong with my application, so I got rejected, and my lawyer helped me refile in December, so I got two on file. The USCIS sent me TWO letters and let me know that my files had been transferred to Texas Service Center, and they both were transferred on the same date of March 23.
Honestly, I was worried about my application when I received letters from USCIS, cuz I asked my co-worker, and she said her file didn't be transferred to Texas Service Center... So I called my lawyer and asked if it's a bad sign... Well, basically, my lawyer said it's normal for them to transfer cases to another service center. So... I guess that's it... All I can do is WAIT...

They were not held up for no reason, you forget that there was a retrogression in place for about six months or so for nurses from the PIC countries. If you would have filed about four months earlier, you would have already been in the US by Christmas, of 2005.
The influx of applications that had to be processed after the retrogression was lifted has been overwheiming. I am not making excuses for them, just stating it as it is. There are many that wish to work in the California area, so this adds to it, as well. And remember, that the Service Center is not just processing visas from nurses but everyone else that wishes to work here as well. For other professions, the wait is aobut five years for a green card.
