ODU BSN FALL 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!

Anyone applying to the BSN program in the fall at ODU (Old Dominion University)? Just thought I'd create a thread for all of us.

Lily

Hi! I applied. I also applied to TCC's RN, and I'm wondering if I'll be able to do the concurrent ODU courses if I do get accepted to both, I don't know how that works exactly. I suppose we will cross that bridge when we get there. For now we are doomed to wait? Nice to meet you! ??

thanks for replying! ? I only applied to ODU because TCC application was a little more complicated on my side (foreign education, etc.). I also have a previous bachelor degree so wanted to go straight to ODU for the BSN.

I think I read somewhere you would need to choose TCC as your main school and take nursing classes there first then you would do ODU courses? Why would would you choose TCC if you get accepted at ODU though? I'd just opt for the BSN instead of an associates.

I'm excited to know if I got accepted. No previous health care experience, but I do have very good grades and HESI score.

I'm on the Eastern shore. ESCC runs a cooperative program through TCC, so I'd spend less days crossing the cbbt if I get accepted for the TCC ASN.  The concurrent BSN option at ODU is online, that would be ideal for me if I could do both. Hoping I get into at least one program though. I got  a 91 cumulative on the HESI. Did you take your HESI through ODU? I'm curious what the averages are for the fall cohort.

Oh okay that makes more sense. I'll be living near the VA campus so that's why I wanted to go to ODU. I did take the HESI through ODU (I took it online/proctored); I got 94. I thought it would be harder and studied so much for it. I read online that you need at least 80 to be considered. So I am pretty sure the average is very high.  I really hope I get in. The coordinator told me they should be sending out acceptance emails mid march, so pretty soon.

That's an awesome HESI score! Honestly,  I thought the test would be much harder too. I didn't get as many measurement conversions, or chemical equations as I thought we would get. I didn't know they were going to send out emails! Nice!  I hope we get in!?

I got a lot of conversions but I remember only getting one chemical equation and it was super simple. I got an email saying they received my application and that emails will sent out to my ODU email for any acceptance letter. I hope we get in too! With our HESI scores I think we have a good chance.

Hello all. Just thought I'd drop in an say hi. I also applied to ODU. I didn't apply anywhere else so fingers crossed when results come out next month.

Nice to meet you Justin! ??

Nice to meet you! Maybe we will be classmates! hope we all get in!

Anyone get an email or letter of acceptance yet? I know it's still a bit early, but the coordinator told me that they will send out letters in march, at the latest April 1st.

I haven't received an email yet, but I'll be watching my inbox like a hawk ?
