If you are taking NCLEX in October as I am here is a place to get motivated. As of today you have approximately 4-8 weeks to prepare for this life changing test. That is more than enough time if you haven't started yet.
Now crack open whatever review book you have and hit it because now is the time to begin. Start typing :typing those review sheets, looking over rationales start with the stuff you know you need help with and feel like because by the end of your study time you'll be up to the stuff you do know and you'll hopefully feel more comfortable at test time... or maybe you won't.
Anybody else motivating tips, or study tips for NCLEX
How is studying going for everyone? October is getting closer and closer everyday!! I need a lot of prayers. It's been over a year since I've last taken this test. I've been studying for 3 months!! I've been trying to be positive and confident. Even though my score on the NCLEX review 3000 was 54% I've been studying from Saunders and Kaplan Q-bank for PN. I feel as the test day gets closer and closer anxiety sets in more and more and this test is consuming my mind. I need all the prayers I can get. I also have been praying for all of us October test takers along with all of the repeat test takers!!! I will NEVER give up until I get what I want!!!
I need some major encouragement. I am feeling really stressed and overwhelmed. I feel a lot of anxiety already and I am not even taking my in 14 days. I can't believe it's almost here. Any advice to relax and free my mind and last bit of studying before the big day? I know people are saying to not worry so much about your scores just the rationales. Still makes me a littler nervous. I know I am rambling on but... I have one more thing... I've heard people say that Saunders is to easy. That's what I've been practicing mostly with. what do you guys think?????

I was also nervous because I am not doing so great in Kaplan. What is your score in Kaplan? I have heard that Saunders is too easy, but I did use it to review it for content if I wasn't doing so well in subjects. Are you looking over infection control? I have had so many people to tell me to focus on that and there is a link on here that helps you memorize it better. If you need it then let know and I will send it to you. I am so nervous that I haven't scheduled a date yet, but I will next week.

Hi _cassyandra,
I think I am just having one of those days of feeling this way. I mean I take it in 14 days. I just went outside for a little bit and let all my nervousness out. I cried. Then I called my aunt and she gave me encouragement. I am just putting to much pressure on myself. I also just read a really nice encouraging thread that made me feel better that someone wrote to someone else. In Kaplan my score is... 48% I've completed all of the questions too. I'm just going over all the questions I've gotten incorrect now. On Saunders I feel like I am doing really well but then again I've heard that it was too easy as well... but hey it boosts my confidence. Also I've been reading the chapters. I haven't gotten to all of them yet and I don't know if I will be able to before the next 14 days approch. I have been studying my infection control. I've got all the percautions as far as Mrs Wee, Spiderman, My chicken hez TB memorized I also think I pretty much PPE for each standard, airborn, contact and droplet percautions. Of course I do not feel confident in that... so I'll look over them more. I am nervous about the pharm part. I guess just the whole test make my nerves crazy. I've been positive about all of this and then today I just broke down. Thank you so much for responding to my post and thanks for offering to send me the thread!!!:heartbeat I really appreciate it. If I can help you in any way let me know. I hope I can be somewhat help at least :) I know we can do this!! Are you going to be taking the PN or the RN?
Again thanks for replying to my last post. I was feeling so anxious.

I completely understand. On Kaplan whenever I take tests I use the incorrect and unused only option which I think has helped me get a higher score though, but I do feel as if I understand a lot of things better. I am nervous about pharm too because I think that is my weakest. I know it's hard to stay positive sometimes. I have my up and down days just like you...like today I felt good until I took another test and my luck went down again . It is hard, but I know you can do this. You will definitely be in my prayers and if you need any help, I will try my best. I am taking the NCLEX-PN.
This may sound crazy but wut if i say I do better on the NCLEX when i don't spend to much time on one question. I got my results on my first and second try with my nclex and I did way better on my first which i took less time for the same amount of questions. I think my problem is i change answers. Will this all not matter if i study enough to know my info? I hope to pass this month!!

I will be praying for every single person in this class. I know we can all pass with just lots of studying and prayers. Never forget that God didn't bring us through nursing school for nothing!
