OC Hospitals accepting temporary license?

I will be relocating to Orange County in June and while I have already applied for licensure by endorsement, I know the wait times can be long. The online application lets you apply for a temp license after submitting your original application so I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile in case I end up waiting much longer than the estimated "10-12 weeks."

However, my concern is whether or not hospitals will even accept a temporary license. Has anybody had luck getting permanent work with a temp license while your endorsement application is pending? Are they just for travel assignments?
