Hello,
I have heard that Texas was the place to come if you wanted to work OB. I am a male Senior RN (ADN) student and I am interested if someone could give me some pointers as to what hospitals in Texas I should look into? Any info on new grad internships/fellowships etc would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks~

Hi there Annointed RN Student. I live in San Antonio, TX and Methodist Hospital has a L & D fellowship/internship. I have no experience to share about it nor do I know anyone who has done it but I know they have it. Best of luck!

You might google for hospitals in and around the cities you are considering (e.g., [Dallas hospital]), then contact each to see if they have internships at all, and if so, if there is one that interests you. If so, you can easily collect the sort of info that you'll need to decide if that's where you want to go. This sort of search will generally also turn up hospitals in more suburban or (sometimes) rural areas nearby.
If you are bilingual (particularly Spanish English), that's a huge plus, especially in Texas. Believe it or not, potential interns sometimes need an edge.
