Newborn assessment tool

  1. I am looking for a good newborn assessment guide I can use to take with me on home visits. I went on my first one today and I think I did pretty good but its been awhile since I've written out a head-to-toe assessment on a mama and babe and of course, when I left, I thought of other things I could have charted on (at least I covered all the major things). Is there one that you would reccommend? I know Lowdermilk is good. Wong is good, too. What do you use?

I had a good one in Whaley and Wong's Pediatrics way back when....

Whaley & Wong's is like the gold standard, I think. (Nothing against Lowdermilk, though...she was my OB professor in nsg school). I still refer to W&W all the time for normal/abnormal newborn stuff.
