NZ educated nurse wants to work in the US

A lot depends on what your transcripts state and that has the determined factor on your training being accepted. Even then you currently will be affected by retrogression and looking at several years wait (may change in the future but with current US nurses struggling for work think it will be a while)

Must say I am a bit confused as one of your other posts states you graduate next year yet here you say you are already a nurse.

Thanks a lot for your reply. It seems like it is pretty hard to find a job in the US now, i might think about working in NZ for a few years first then.

Yes, i am graduating at the end of next year, but just to make the story simple i said i am a nurse. Hope this does not make you feel that i am lying or something.

yes things are hard for many International nurses looking at moving to another country but gaining experience whilst waiting is a good thing and will also give you ch ance to get sorted with requirements. This way you can find out if you are short on anything and get it sorted. Remember usually involves clinical as well as theory and usually needs to be done by a recognised school or establishment
