NYU Langone Hiring Process

Hi everyone!

I was able to connect with a nurse manager at Tisch Hospital and I have an interview today with herself and a recruiter to be placed on the waitlist for a position on her floor. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, please let me know the experience (how long you waited, what positions you held in the meantime, etc.). Thank you!

Hi I interviewed for a position in the PICU and then after I interviewed I was placed on the waitlist. I emailed the recruiter to see how long I would be on the waitlist for and another position was open in a different pediatric department which I decided to take about 2 weeks later. But I was looking at previous post and some people said that they were on the waitlist for about a month. Generally nursing staff tends to decrease a lot in the fall when people go to NP school, so spots should open up! 
 

I already have a year of experience so I just left my current job with about a month until I start at NYU. I would recommend trying to find per diem wouldn’t be that much of a loss to the facility when you leave!
