Hi everyone. I just got my acceptance letter to NYU. Regular 2nd bachelors BSN last week (non accelerated). I applied as a transfer and I'm male. I'm probably going to attend.
If anyone is attending NYU in Fall '07 please contact me at [email protected] or IM me at lilkaymin (aim). Accelerated or not, I'm looking for friends and people to talk to. Although, I don't think there really is an 'accelerated' program at NYU. It's just that you take summer school and graduate one term faster. I'll be taking 12 credits of the prereqs this fall and it would be great to know some people ahead of time!

You are very lucky to be accepted...some people don't even have that chance...so don't say you will probably......
Thanks. Yeah, don't get me wrong, I am very grateful to have gotten this second chance and intend to pursue it wholeheartedly! I really shoulda did nursing the first time around.

I was accepted into the accelerated program. Im still debating whether I should go because I was also accepted in Stony Brook. Good luck! I'll def. contact you if I decided to attend NYU
Lol, I did my undergrad at stony brook. I heard the nursing there is awesome. I definitely should've pursued nursing there before I graduated. I would've applied but I am firm on staying in NYC. Good luck with your choice!

Hello!
I just got my acceptance letter and the program says it begin in Summer? I thought it was September so I am a bit confused. I was praying for this letter but in the Midst got a great jop opportunity...I wish I could defer my acceptance for a semester....so I am waying my options now but will mostt liekly go with it! I am excited! So you will be taking your prereq's?
Hi! Yeah, i'm doing 12 credits of the prereqs over the fall. It says on your profile you applied for accelerated so i'm guessing you took the prereqs. Lucky you!
it's odd that it says summer on your acceptance letter since i don't think they offer the first term nursing courses over the summer. i'm not sure though.
But, you should weigh your options seriously though. :) i was *real* excited but it's kinda died down a bit.
I actually had all my prereq's completed...micro was the last and I just finished! Thank God!
I have no idea why it states summer 2007...I am so confused! So you were super excited at first?? Why do you think it has died down?
I wish I knew all the details because I feel like this letter is so last minute and I have no time to prepare.
Whoah.
Did you really take micro course at colorado ccc online? did you take all your preqs there? it looks like they offer the prereqs i need over the summer...
does nyu really take them and how was it? i would love to take the prereqs there over the summer if it'll transfer...! did you actually have to go to Colorado? let me know about this place!
well the interest died down a bit and i'm not holding the acceptance letter anymore but i'm stil set on going! since i know i would enjoy doing the job.... yeah i was nervous too but they have a forum at the nyu page and you can ask some questions there. it's kinda slow tho, so you might be better off calling them.

Hello all,
I just graduated this past Monday from NYU and I wish guys good luck. I really enjoy going to NYU for 1 and 1/2 years and I hope you guys will feel the same way too. Just remember to study really hard!!
Once again, good luck!
The only prereq I did was the Microbio and it was great!!!!! I defintely recommend it. I took the accelerated 10 wk course so it was a lot of work but it is over now! I will check out the forum at NYU. I love to hear from people that have been in the program and can give feedback. I just am waiting to hear about the financial aide package!
Hi Sammi!
Congrats!!! How are job opportunities looking for you? What would you say (on average) was the amount of time you spent per week (class, clinicals, studying)...I know this program is super full-time, so I am just curious as to the average amount of time needed! I will probably be working part-time so am trying to get ready!
How was the first semester? Thse most challenging?
Thanks!
