Nursing Student Hair... I know sounds stupid right?

Published

Well I am almost done with my prerequsites I have 5 left, taking 2 this semester. Anyway I am sick of my hair and was hoping to get a cute cut and my hair dyed and was wondering if darker underneath and lighter on top would be unproffessional.. I am not going with anything drastic, just maybe dark brown underneath and darker blonde with highlights on top. Any advice would be appreciated. I want to be taken seriously by proffessors and such and don't want something like my hair to make them see me as rebellious or anything. I am 27 if that help.. lol

A good color blend is not unprofessional. Bright dyes and loud color dyes are seen unprofessional. Have fun.

Thanks, I will see if I can find a pic to post... :) Of at least what I am looking at... thanks for the advice!

Yeah, that doesn't sound bad at all! I'd say have fun, go for it. Now if you were talking going for black underneath and platinum on top, or some other drastic/weird measures I'd be a bit worried, but this sounds like a nice subtle change! :) I'd love to go for a short style once I get into the program and nursing as well. I'm always tired of my hair being in my way.

My friend has those same colors for her hair and I think it looks nice. Our class is so casual, no one really looks professional lol. In clinicals, you will have your hair tied up so the colors will be less noticeable.
