Macular degeneration...

  1. I've been working with an older adult who has macular degeneration as part of an assignment. Is there anybody out there who has tips on or leads to companies that make kitchen appliances (ovens, microwaves, etc.) that have larger, easier to read dials and numbers. The client loves to cook, but it has become an onus to do so. I'm open to all suggestions! Thanks!

I don't know of any companies that make larger, more visible dials and buttons. But what about using colours? Like nail polish in different colours to denote different settings? I had an old boss that had macular degeneration and this was his method for the office tools.

Thanks! I never would've thought of that. I am going to run it by my client today!
