A friend reccommended this site as a tool to help me with a paper I have to write for one of my courses. So here I sit on a Sunday afternoon, typing in hopes that the help I am seeking will be found on here. So here's the scoop, have to write a paper on nurses and substance abuse. So what I'm looking for is a nurse (or a few) to "talk" with about their personal experiences (using/abusing substances as a nursing professional). If you'd like to help out, drop me a line. I would post this in other boards like the Nursing Student Assistance board, or maybe the general board, since it's a bit narrow. I do know when we've discussed substance abuse, there were several members who came out that they were in recovery.

Good point Tweety ... I will move the thread.

I have to agree with Tweety ... it is a rather narrow subject and also a very personal one for nurses. There have been some nurses that have gone public that they are in recovery and perhaps they will bewilling to help. Might be a good idea for you to post what program you are in and at what level.

Thanks for moving my thread. I appreciate it. I'm writing a paper for one of my courses (Masters degree) and I'm in a Chemical Dependency Guidance program. I realize the subject is narrow but I don't want to put a restriction (so to speak) on it.
