I'm about to start nursing school and I wanted some advice on what to buy and where to buy it. If anyone knows of any websites with nursing student supplies at a very affordable price I'd really appreciate it

Anything I need I can usually find on amazon for cheaper than the nursing supply type websites. My school gave us a little kit to start off. I would wait and see what they give you and go from there. The one thing I got in addition to what they gave us that was helpful was a clipboard that opens up and can keep papers inside as well. I also keep extra penlights on hand and sharpies for writing on dressings.

What kind of supplies are we talking about? New stethoscope, shoes, pen light, etc? If so, check out Uniforms - Nursing Scrubs, Nursing Uniforms & Medical Scrubs - allheart, or definitely check out Amazon - they have almost everything including books!
Oh okay thank you!! :) I'll definitely be looking into the extra things you got. Is there any type of stethoscope that you would recommend? I was told it needs a bell and diaphragm
Yes!! Thank you so much :)

I don't know how many nursing supplies your campus store offers, but I found when comparing things like stethoscopes, bandage scissors, blood pressure cuffs and even medical grade watches, my campus store was very comparable to the prices on amazon- somethings were even cheaper after shipping costs were factored in!
Good luck finding your supplies! :)
I know this isn't directed towards me BUT I've had several nurses and doctors tell me the same thing- Littmans are the best. The Classic II or Master Classic II are the perfect for RN use.
You have a good point! I didn't even think about looking at the supplies at my campus. Yay, thank you!!! :) I was so worried that I was going to end up getting a really bad stethoscope
Go look at reviews on amazon, that always makes me feel better!
I sure will thanks again

On the topic of stethoscopes, I would recommend the Littmann Classic II.

Im starting nursing school in the fall also. I ordered a Littmann Master from all heart.com, a recommendation from a couple nurses already in the program. I also have began to buy my books via Amazon, the first two books have already saved me $90, that was exciting :). Our scrubs are a maroon color and I opted to buy the same brand from a scrub store that some if the others use in the program. Instead of the unisex pants, I bought a pair that fit a little better with a little flair, at a slightly cheaper price. Our school is strict about buying scrubs through the bookstore, but they don't seem to mind a slightly different pant style (not sure about everywhere else). I have a fused ankle, so I'm searching for the best pair if shoes I can find, so far I've ordered a pair of Nurses mates, they seem super comfortable.
Good luck! :)
