Nursing School Out Of State- Advice

I am looking at a prospective school 90 miles away ( but out of state).

I was wondring if there is anyone out there who has attended a program out of state? And how did you pay for school since tution is usually higher.

Are there any secrets to getting in state admission

I am not sure if this is a good thing to persue since it is out of state

Sometimes certain schools have reciprocity agreements for students from counties in states that are one their border or very close buy. Look into it. In addition, they might give you in-state tuition if you have property in that state.

If it gets you off a waiting list, get you your RN quicker and is a good school, I'd say go for it. I am not fond of loans, but if you need them they are there.

Find out from the school how you can establish residency for that state to qualify for the instate tuition. In NC, (IIRC) you need to have a drivers license and work and pay taxes to the state for one year.
