I am about done with my pre nursing and here in Phoenix the wait is about 2 years. Which I know i'll be doing if I stay in Phoenix. My question for everyone is, does anyone know of any other RN programs out of state that have a shorter wait list. I've been doing my research and contacting people at schools but I'm looking for suggestions form anyone. Hopefully I'm posting this in the right forum, if not my apologies. I am willing though to move out of state to attend another CC to get my RN done. Whether the school is on the west coast or east coast I do not care, I'd love any input anyone can give me.

I waited only 1 year (most only waited one semester, but I was behind on getting all my transcripts together) at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, CA. We had many students traveling from all over because of the shorter wait. One girl in my class was driving from 5 hours away.
The program is very good and they accept 80 new students each semester, so it is a good size!
Good luck!

hello, the cc that i go to does not have a waiting list, which i think taht's cool. so everytime all the students that need to apply for ns have the same opportunity. the acceptance to the ns goes like this:
gpa 2-4 points, so the higher your gpa the most point you get
your score in the hesi test
90-100=5points
80-89=3 points
75-79=1 point
then the number of required general education courses completed with a "c" of better.
9 courses= 4 points
7-8= 3
4-6=2
1-3=1
and it's very affordable! i live in texas, if you would like more information, send me a private message.
not to forget to mention, it's a fully accredited 2 year college with the highest academic standards. and the adn program is accredited by the national league of nursing accrediting commission. and is also approved by the texas board of nursing.
also, they have 120 seats!!!
Thank you for the responses, I'll be sending a pm re: the Texas school. Also checking out Lancaster.
So for some reason I"m having the hardest time figuring out how to send a private message. I will figure it out!!!
OHH-you have to *POST* a minimum of 15 posts in order to send a Private message, so just comment on others real fast, something small or in this thread, like K, Ok, thanks, until you reach your 15 posts!! I can't find any other faster way for you to accumulate your 15 posts. I'll be here when you reach your 15...
