I am in the process of updating my nursing portfolios while looking for a new position. I have a leather portfolio, dividers, my resume, appropriate materials, etc all arraigned in a professional manner. However, I have heard of websites created by nurses for placing their portfolios online. This is supposed to help when you have an application at a facility in another state and can't show your paper portfolio. You just direct whomever to the site.
Is this common and does anyone here have a site that I can look at?
What are the best sites to use for this?

If you want to create your own portfolio, complete with any type of documents, pictures, videos etc - you can subscribe to Decision Critical ($60 per year for individuals, I think). Here's the link http://www.decisioncritical.com/home.asp . (disclaimer -- I do not work for them or receive any personal gain for this endorsement)
I think it's a great idea. As I understand it, you can create customized portfolios using all the stuff into your file, and just send the link to prospective employers or reviewers.
