medi calculation help here!

  1. Hello everyone!
Im practing nursing math from here and there recently and I dont understand this answer.

If anyone who knows better than me, please, it would be very thankful to hear the answer from you!

Nipride at 3mcg/kg/min. Patients bwt. 110ib. Bag of Nipride 5DW 50mg/250ml. Gtt factor 60. How fast?

So the way I did was...

    3 * 60 * 50 *60
    ---------------
    200ml

    but they said its

    3 *50 *60
    ------------
    200ml

so they dont multiply 60 which is gff factor.
    I dont really get it.would

Is there something that im missing here?

    Please please let me know!

    Thank you

    Good day, RNJin

I recommend DosageHelp.com - Helping Nursing Students Learn Dosage Calculations and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-2r...2YXlJ1MYll3k0Q in terms of learning dimensional analysis as it helps you have the right unit at the end given the right set up.

    Thank you.
