refer to point 4.

If now enrolled in the nursing program your degree should hold up in states that currently accept ec (due to "grandfather" clauses).

It simply will not be accepted in California. Period.

Not the point though, I am only here because of the military, my plans have never been to work in this state. Many people associated with the military are Excelsior students and could end up in Cali. I am only asking that Excelsior informs all potential Nursing students that their degree is not excepted in all 50 states.

My success rate was 100% with Excelsior. :D

Now while that might really seem like a flippant answer, it's not ... the program is so dependent upon what the individual puts into it that another person's experience really isn't relevant, in the grand scheme of things.

With that being said, I believe the first-time pass rate for the CPNE is around 64%, while EC grads have a higher-than-national-average pass rate for the NCLEX (somewhere around 88%).

:)

Representin' as an Excelsior success.

I am also a Success! I graduated from LPN school last Aug and immediately applied to EC. Just past the CPNE Dec 7th. IMO the people who stay connected and get their questions answered on the EPN board and allnurses are quite successful on CPNE. Its all in what you put in it. You have to know your stuff and practice your skills.
