SNHU online RN-BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi everyone, I applied to the Southern New Hampshire University online RN to BSN program today and from what I can see its a fairly new online offering for them. I was wondering if there is anyone who is currently enrolled in the program that can tell me what their experiences have been.

Thanks!

Hey Erin...question about math at SNHU. Did you happen to sign up for a math..if so which one and how is it? I'm thinking about taking "The Heart of Mathematics" but am a little hesitant since it has a strange description lol. Thanks for your help!

Hi nursemel. I signed up for stats for healthcare professionals. I am taking it next term starting September21. I know stats can be tricky.. i think that is the math class needed for the RN to BSN track.

I already took stats and had that transferred over. Now they are saying I need an additional math...I hate math ugh lol. I guess I'll have to get it over with lol

Oh okay, jeez they are making you take another math? That stinks.. I am not sure then which other class to take. Good luck tho. I would probably try to find the easiest one to take, or at least ask your advisor for help. They can give u a good suggestion..

I'm currently taking MAT135, which I think is the Heart of Mathematics. Despite its description it is actually a great class. It's all about math theory, its not about the "math" part. Our first week all we did we logic puzzles. For our class we have 3 "strand" papers (2-3 pgs) that were due and we have a break for 2 weeks and then the final paper which is actually just the 3 papers combined. We also do 1 discussion board post and 2 responses a week. Its a really fun class, so if you need math I would highly suggest taking this one! As a nurse were already well prepared to write papers.

Hi, how do you like snhu so far and how far into the program are you? I am taking stats starting on sept 21. I am taking intro to critical thinking right now as my humanities class and it is a good class to take.

Erin..

I just started the nursing program there, so I can't say a whole lot about it at this point. I actually transferred in 90 credits from previous work, so I only had to take 2 non nursing classes. I start my nursing classes with the next term. Nursing Research which is NUR300 there.

Well good luck DPjurczyk with your classes.:)

Is anyone in SNHU's Master's in Nursing Education? Reviews? Thoughts on the quality? Is it doable with a full-time job and taking care of little kids??

Which professor did you chose... I am taking this class 1st. Thank you

I do not remember which professor i took, it was a long time ago.

I am finished now with the program. Majority of professors were decent.. good luck!
