RN to BSN while in school

Nursing Students Online Learning

A lot of the community colleges in my area have a bridge program that you can start on your first summer (during school). Unfortunately because of budget cuts my school does not have one of these. Does anyone know of a bridge program that I can start during the summer before my last semester of RN (preferably online)? I have a bachelors degree in another subject from a university.

Specializes in OR, Nursing Professional Development.

I have never heard of an RN to BSN program that did not require an active license.

I've started seeing these programs pop up in my state. I can't remember for sure, but I want to say UIndy has one. It'd be worth a Google!

Any program that I've ever heard of requires licensure. Please post what you find out. I have my BSN so it doesn't effect me, but would be nice info to pass on to others

I ended up looking up that UIndy program, and unfortunately it's a collaborative effort with a community college here in Indiana so I don't believe it'd be open to any other ASN students. :/ Good luck with your search!

I just wanted to share that I am in the first class in CA to be graduating in July with my BSN while in an ADN program. I took classes on my summer and winter breaks and have 4 classes left after graduating with my ADN this past December. (Program is through University of Phoenix) in order to finish my last 4 classes I have to have my RN license.
