Online courses

  1. I was wondering if there are online schools where you can take a couple of courses, say for the summer, and not register with that college for a degree program. I want to take a couple of non science classes online, without having to commit to an institution. Any recommendations??
Is anyone familiar with the University of Phoenix?
    Any input would help.
    Thanks

I'm taking prereqs at Rio Salado Community College online. I'm not in a degree program. Their site is www.rio.maricopa.edu I know my mom went to UOP but she picked up a degree from them.

Do a google search on Univ of Phoenix. There has been a lot of negative publicity about them. Have also seen some criticism of their online nursing program on this bb in the past.
Most schools will allow you to take a certain amount of courses without officially enrolling for a degree. Talk to the admissions personnel concerning this.

Try www.edukan.org They are a group of community colleges in Kansas.
Their tuition is also very reasonable.
    Good luck!
