Last year on this day, I passed my CPNE! :D Time surely does fly!! A year later, I'm working as an RN in the emergency department, I passed my CEN, and I'm 4 classes into my BSN. So keep the faith, EC peeps! It's worth it.

Good for you Lunah. I still think you should go into the CPNE for hire business. Just think what kind of money someone could make if they did that.

Yay!! What great milestones!!! I can truckin ahead myself but I am giving my husband the spotlight now. Hes getting his master in Education. How many more classes do you need to finish the BSN? Will you get more money?

Congrats on your progress. Which BSN program are you doing? Distance? Im trying to look ahead to BSN but we want to expand the family after this is all over and I want the spotlight on him/her not on school as with my other 2...This time next year I certainly hope to be close to, if not have already passed my NCLEX...fingers crossed...youre just the inspiration giver on this board...LOL! I think I remember you saying you were from VA, right? Where from? Im from Williamsburg and lived in Hampton before getting PCSed out here with my hubby. We'll be back one day though...wink wink!

I'll have 6 classes left after I finish Econ this week. :) The rest are all nursing classes -- my non-nursing stuff is done! Or, will be after I take my Econ final. I don't think I'll get more money -- honestly, I haven't checked. This is more for my satisfaction/personal achievement at this point. But hey, I'll take more money! :D

I'm doing the online RN-BSN with Chamberlain College. I'm really enjoying it! I chose Chamberlain after a lot of research, and I'm happy with my choice. It's expensive, but the bottom line really came out nearly the same as most other programs because Chamberlain gave me more credit for my 206 previous college credits.

I'm not from Virginia (I'm from Oregon, really), but I live in Virginia now. I'm in Winchester, up at the tippy-top of the state. :) In truth, I describe myself as a global nomad/third culture kid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Culture_Kids) because I grew up overseas as a military/civil service brat, so I'm somewhat rootless. It's not a bad way to be! I have the urge to move every few years. Next stop: Colorado.

lisa,

wow~ what a ride! thanks for reminding us that if we all continue to work hard that we can make our dreams come true. "if" i ever get into take my clep soc., i will be cpne eligible. i could not believe the wait due to people trying to get last minute credits before graduating in august. we only have one clep site. urgh!!! i have english comp. scheduled for july 30th, and then will have to take religion while awaiting a cpne date. i am so confused with the amount of time to prepare for the cpne...i know it all boils down to "when i am ready"...what is a realistic goal? 4,5,6,7 months? i am starting to get stircrazy and not even there yet. lol! again...congrats on your success, and i look forward to reading more of your success stories, and hopefully you will read one of mine some day. i would love to be an rn by the end of april next year, but who knows. i am trying to think positive about the whole process and people like you make it easier. i appreciate all of the feedback you have given me and others. standing ovation for lisa.:clphnds::clphnds::clphnds::clphnds::clphnds: yay lunah!!! traci

My birthday was on a Friday the 13th last year, and that was the first night, the labs ... so it was this past Saturday. Thanks, Maureen -- good memory! :) We're looking at Colorado Springs -- we love it there.

I thought you were planning on going back to Oregon? Hard to think of you anywhere else.
