Had to verify with the college just for peace of mind. I have been hearing about this since last week. Now I know. Just in time too. I was about to pay for the practice test just a few days ago. Wow!!

Do those of use who did take it get a refund? Hmmm. Still, that's great news. One less stress for y'all.

Speak with an advisor. Today I spoke with an advisor and he volunteered this information. He stated that the school had to verify each enrollee's licensure with each BON before credit for NC2 would be granted. As long as your LPN license is current, you should be good to go. However, there is nothing like getting the information first had so speak with an advisor asap.

I heard that you needed a B as a final overall program average in your LPN program in order to get exempted out of Nursing Concepts 2? I guess I have to call an advisor as well and hear it right from the horse's mouth. I'll update the thread once I find out. Thanks for reminding me...I was about to study for NC 2, too. (hey, I just said "tu-tu".) LOL. ;-)

I just called and find out that it is true, LPNs with a current respective state LPN license are exempt from taking NC 2. This is wonderful.

Did this recently change? I know a while back you could skip it if you had been a LVN 5 years or less. This is great news if its true....

Don't know if it recently changed, but I know if you have a current active LPN license as per your state's Board of Nursing you're able to skip concepts 2.

Hello there! Wow- that is sooo exciting. I am still waiting to get my initial info in the mail from Excelsior. I called them around Monday and they were supposed to mail me my general info and I still have not received it. Should I be getting concerned? I live in Indiana. I think I will call them by Wed if I have not received it. Do I need to tell them when I enroll that I heard about NC2? Thank you. I'm so glad I joined this website.
