Oh Heather you are such a sweetheart! :flowersfo I was JUST NOW posting on a different thread as you were writing this to me! Isn't the internet the coolest thing? God really did carry me through it, I was not myself. When I gather my wits again:bugeyes: :chair: , I'll describe in detail on this very post my CPNE experience for others to learn from.

Congrats!
Please do post your experience..I'm very eager to hear about it!
Well, please see new thread entitled, "Passing the CPNE: tips from my experience." I have much more detailed journal type thing which is way too long to post here, regarding PCS details and my simlab experiences. So PM me if you want it and promise to share it with others someday. Maybe we could get a sticky for the CPNE tips one? And folks can add as they pass. If it is useful!

Well, I took the NCLEX RN yesterday and I think I passed. I know there's no way to tell by the number of questions but it stopped at 75 and I was feeling pretty good about my answers so...
Perhaps next week or the following I will be an RN in Hawaii. Oh, if only it was so simple to get licensed here in WA. I got a job in Alaska (was originally planning on Hawai) starting in January and will endorse my HI RN license to AK and then after I have worked in AK for a certain amount of time I can apply to have that license endorsed to WA. It's a temp job and my employer has granted me leave of absence. So, if all goes well I will be an RN in Washington by May 2007 and get my old job back (but as an RN).
That's the scoop and the price I pay for being an Excelsior grad. Still worth all the hassle (and it has been A LOT of hassle). I think so.

I've thought about Excelsior to go LVN -->RN, but I'm not so sure about that CPNE weekend; sounds like stress on steroids LOL
I am sorry you have to go a roundabout way to get the position you really want...
