What is the difference the way schools are accredited? Who accredits them and which ones are actually legit and accepted by other state schools, etc?
Thanks for any clarification....

The most widely recognized US accrediting agency for nursing schools is the National League for Nursing (NLN). CCNE is another accrediting agency. Many employers and graduate programs are looking for grads of accredited schools. The critical factor for licensure, however, is not accreditation, but approval by the state board of nursing.
