The Story of Jahi Continues

Nurses Headlines

Published

Well, perhaps we will get an official look at what happened. Of course, the hospital will now have the opportunity to defend itself through the medical record.

I have my opinions on how the family has reacted and behaved after the fact, but I have always withheld judgment on whether or not there was negligence, because without hearing both sides of the story, it's impossible to do so. If there was a mistake or mistakes made in SOP, the family has a right to know this. If not, the hospital will finally get redemption.

Well, this was coming for sure.

Dolan got 'booted'.

I wonder if he is not relieved.

What nurse would "tell the family to suction the blood"??? That is insane.

It's Dolan's buddy. Dolan cannot represent in this case as it's an ethical conflict of interest. Did you notice her biological father is listed as a defendant?

Wow. I shouldn't be surprised, they need money. But they're saying the nurses TOLD them to suction Jahi? Really? I would be shocked if that was all true but I really, really doubt it all. I hope the truth gets to come out now.

I'm looking forward to seeing the hospital records.

Somehow I'm doubting that there will be a nursing note that says "instructed family to suction blood q 5 minutes"

IIRC, Dolan has always said if there was to be a malpractice lawsuit, that he would not be the one handling it. It's not a matter of "being booted" if I understand the situation correctly.

No, I think that was when she was still in a hospital or LTC facility. But she would still be trached & vented. Of course her family isn't going to take pictures of her looking like that now. They want her to look "alive".

I also noticed that's a hospital-grade vent and most likely she would be on a home vent now (Trilogy or LTV).

I am very interested by this part of the story, and I hope if the trial moves forward we can hear more testimony from this nurse.

According to the lawsuit, a nurse wrote in Jahi's medical chart that she had repeatedly asked doctors about the girl's condition and blood loss but was informed there would be no immediate intervention.”

Okay, but I bet he has some relief from the lime light.
