Prescriptive authority for UK nurses and pharmacists?

For myself, call me lazy - I don't want it - too much responsibility.

For others what are your thoughts on this? Good or bad idea? Would you want it?

As a nurse prescriber I welcome the news that the limited formulary will be expanded to most of the BNF . Being accountable should ensure that nurses do not prescribe out of their competency or field of work . I have used the palliative drug side of the BNF for patients with terminal illness who need symptom control. It is much quicker, efficient than relying on a Medical person to prescribe, especially at weekends and out of hours when the Doctor on duty doesn't know the patients [ I am talking about community, where patients are nursed in their own homes ]
